                Here’s the thing: most ‘difficult’ names actually are not that difficult.  My name is actually quite simple.

                The issue is that people are lazy and careless and feel that abbreviations and nicknames act as enough of a mask for the ignorance associated with their failure to say a damn name correctly.  Unless I know you personally and well enough for us to have the kind of relationship where a nickname is okay, you will use my full name.

                It’s five fucking letters.  And even if it were twice as long, I would still correct you every time it were spelled or said wrong.

                I didn’t know to do that at nine years old.  The fact Quvenzhané does says wonders about her character and her parents, to be honest.
