And because I want to present a balanced and fair...
I just posted what someone who “loved” me wrote in my yearbook 10 years ago. For those of you skeptical that many of my peers felt this way about me, you’re right, I had some haters back in the day. I now present to you another messgae I received in 7th grade:

– My 8th grade “boyfriend” wrote this in my yearbook 10 years ago. (I typed that exactly as he wrote it, except that instead of “up” he drew an arrow pointing upwards…)
And yes I did see him again, last year on the metro. I pretended I was asleep (like I always do).
Me to my older male co-worker: I scored last night!
Older male co-worker: *makes a weird face*
Me: I know! I'm surprised too! It was the first time I got to first base in 7 weeks!
Ashley: She's talking about kickball.
Older male co-worker: Oh! Ok...
.: But really, I did score last night, and it was awesome!
